چکیده

In this study, Calophyllum inophyllum (CIO) loaded Poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL) electrospun fibre mats were produced for potential wound healing applications. Physiochemical evaluation and in vitro characterisation of evaluated. Average diameters the determined as 0.9 ± 0.3 μm, 1.2 0.2 1.3 1.5 0.1 μm PCL, PCL/CIO−2.5, PCL/CIO−5 PCL/CIO−7.5, respectively. The contact angle values decreased up to 30 5 (°) compared oil-free PCL mat, indicating improved surface wettability. incorporation CIO into led a two-fold increase antibacterial activity, composed PCL. cytotoxicity indicated that all had increased cell viability control. findings suggest CIO-loaded have use tissue engineering

Preparation of antibacterial electrospun Poly lactic-co–glycolic acid nanofibers containing Hypericum Perforatum with bedsore healing property and evaluation of its drug release performance

Skin drug delivery systems with controlled release are suitable means for the local transfer of pharmaceutical compounds to the damaged and healthy layers of skin. Nanofibrous membrane prepares uniform moisture in the wound environment with less accumulation of fluid secretion due to its variable pore size. Electrospinning takes advantage of using herbal extracts in the form of electrospun nano...

Lysozyme-loaded, electrospun chitosan-based nanofiber mats for wound healing.

In this study, a blend mixture of chitosan-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (CS 2 wt%-EDTA) at a weight ratio of 30/70 and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solution (10 wt%) was electrospun to produce fibrous mats with lysozyme (10, 20 and 30 wt%) used for wound healing. The morphology and diameter of the electrospun fiber mats with and without lysozyme were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM)...

Use of lecithin to control fiber morphology in electrospun poly (ɛ‐caprolactone) scaffolds for improved tissue engineering applications

We elucidate the effects of incorporating surfactants into electrospun poly (ɛ-caprolactone) (PCL) scaffolds on network homogeneity, cellular adherence and osteogenic differentiation. Lecithin was added with a range of concentrations to PCL solutions, which were electrospun to yield functionalized scaffolds. Addition of lecithin yielded a dose-dependent reduction in scaffold hydrophobicity, whi...
